New Hope Church

The church was developed around the growing congregation and their fellowship needs. Situated on a site in East Lansing, the building was arranged to avoid wetland mitigation while still providing adequate parking and recreational space. The large naturally illuminated gathering area leads directly into the worship space that seats 650 occupants comfortably. The acoustics of the worship space was engineered to provide the members with a “live” and immersing musical experience. Office space for both satellite and permanent positions were provided as this was inadequate in their current building. With education, childcare, and youth retention as a priority, support spaces such as classrooms and a full kitchen were developed in response to the goals of the owner.
